And the award for UK’s Best Dentist goes to…

We are very proud to announce that one of our longest-standing clients has been named the UK’s Best Dentist at a glittering awards ceremony onboard the QE2 in Dubai.
Dr Khalid Master from Bank View Smile Studios (BVSS) in Blackburn, Lancs joined the best of the best from across the world, receiving a bespoke, Oscar-like trophy at The Forttuna Group’s Global Edition of the Health and Wellness Awards.
I’m graciously accepting this award on behalf of my profession, one that I’m even more passionate about than when I graduated.
The awards were designed to showcase and honour the ingenuity, dedication and excellence of health and wellness leaders worldwide. A staggering 354,000 applications were screened, from them 18,000 participants met the standard. Some 9,000 interviews were conducted with clinicians from 81 countries and 94 winners were finally chosen from 47 countries to attend the event.
Judges said the award was presented to a ‘unique individual from the professional sector who is not only exemplary and well respected in their field, but also someone who had made a successful transition into the business world by creating a remarkably flourishing practice’.
On announcing the winner, Khalid was introduced as “…having a perfectionist attitude to detail, coupled with a calm and gentle chair side manner. He is passionate about sharing his vast knowledge and expertise, educating the current generation through mentorship and inspiring the next generation of young dentists through work shadowing and careers advice”.
Khalid was also commended for his ongoing contribution to dental education and for his role as chairman and founding trustee of Abu Hanifah Foundation, a UK-registered not-for-profit charity. The charity focuses on producing the next generation of exemplary role models, who lead meaningful, purpose-driven lives, going on to make pioneering contributions to their immediate society and ultimately the world at large.
Khalid said: “I’m graciously accepting this award on behalf of my profession, one that I’m even more passionate about than when I graduated. I’m deeply appreciative of my team at BVSS (both past and present) as well as all the clinicians who I’ve worked with and learnt from.
“I would like to dedicate this award to my family and parents; both of whom have passed away; my father died young, 21 years ago and my mother two years ago this very day. Without instilling the values of continuous excellence and tireless work ethic respectively, none of this would have been achievable. I owe more than a debt of gratitude to them both.”
