Anne qualified from Cork Dental School in 1984. She has worked in almost every aspect of dentistry: associate positions in a UK NHS practice and in Ireland, and principal roles in established practices and squats. She has attended many courses and encouraged her team members to gain further qualifications and step up into leadership roles. In 2008 Anne sold her practices to the Smiles Group and became clinical director, serving as a non-executive director on the Board. Aware of a gap in the market for dental leadership & management training, Anne’s search led her to Spot On Business Planning (SOBP) and to a company delivering support to dental practice owners and preparing an online portal of business & management resources/training for the whole team. If Anne could speak to her younger self, she would be recommending SOBP business services. As she can’t, she will be introducing and recommending their services in this webinar.

Andy has been interpreting and using numbers to transform business performance since his early days as a management accountant in the planning and analysis function of blue-chip Grand Metropolitan (Diageo) over 40 years ago.

Introduced to the dental sector more than a decade ago, Andy immediately identified an industry starved of commercial competence and dental practice owners devoid of business knowhow.

Andy formed Spot On Business Planning (SOBP) with a mission to transform underperforming practices and to help those looking to maximise profitability and their exit value. Using tailored financial models developed specifically for the dental industry, Andy mentors dental practice owners to make the right strategic decisions, and the talented Spot On team works alongside practice teams to implement changes that double net profits within three years.

Anne-Marie was introduced to Spot On Business Planning as a client whilst managing her husband’s dental practice. The techniques she learned and implemented working with Andy transformed the practice’s performance and motivated Anne-Marie to join Spot On and share the success that she and her husband achieved, with other dental business owners.

Today, many years on and working alongside Andy, she is a key member of the Spot On Business Planning team. Her breadth of skill, knowledge and experience have been amassed over a career spanning corporate IT training and senior business management. Anne-Marie is instrumental in driving client profitability and delivering an exceptional service.
